Finishing Your Swing | Sport Tips
Now that I’ve gone over batting stance, gripping the bat, loading, and starting your swing, it’s time to put it all together and focus on finishing your swing. At this point in your swing, the knob of your bat should be in line with the pitcher, and your back foot “squishing the bug.” Now, pull the knob of the bat towards the pitcher and hit the ball with the barrel of the bat. Be sure to keep your head down and eyes on the ball during the whole swing. You can’t hit what you can’t see.
Once you make contact with the ball with your barrel, be sure to continue driving the ball. When finishing your swing correctly, you should end up with your hips open, two hands on the bat, and your head down to make sure you are seeing the ball throughout the whole swing.
